Hello June, we can’t quite believe we are half way through 2018 already – time flies when you’re having fun.

As we welcome in June we look back over May with really big smiles on our faces – it has been a busy, fun-filled month for us all here. We can’t quite remember a time when we had to apply so much sun cream in one long stretch – it’s been wonderful to see so many of our children enjoying the warm weather and playing for hours with their friends.

It’s been a jam-packed month of royal weddings, road safety and messy play!

The children enjoyed learning about royalty this month when we focused on the theme of the royal wedding. They did lots of colouring in of brides and grooms and we spoke to the older children about the grand event that took place. We’re not too sure any of the pictures resembled Harry or Meghan, but we enjoyed creating them all the same!

Our theme of Roads, Transport and Safety has been a real success with all the rooms. From our younger children using props to understand how traffic lights work and what the colours represent, to our older children actually going out and experiencing crossing the road safely. We’d love to hear if any children have used their learnings whilst out and about with their parents?

Messy play has been a real focus for our baby rooms, with flowers being created among many other colour explosions. The activity has been thoroughly enjoyed by all taking part. Even if a few team members were left with rainbow stripes!
