And it’s February. January, as always, seemed to drag a little, didn’t it? But we’ve had lots of goings on, snow and a few new faces to meet and settle into our rooms.

We also had a really busy festive period with lots of activities and crafts taking place to build the children’s annual folder, as well as our party and nativity – it always feels that bit extra special here at Christmas time.

We hope all the parents enjoyed our nativity, the children and our team all worked really hard to make it a show stopper – and the feedback we got from parents was as wonderful as usual. All involved did so well on the day and it was lovely to see so many happy and proud parents watching from their seats.

When we reopened our doors, we heard so many stories about what the children had been up too and what Father Christmas had surprised them with – it was lovely to see them so animated about their time away.

In January we also welcomed some new little faces into the nursery, and they all have settled in brilliantly – we welcome you all and hope you feel at home already.

With this winter weather continuing – we do want to politely remind parents to bring wellies and winter weather gear – such as hats, gloves and scarves. We have built some great snowmen and played happily outside even though it has been that bit colder.

It is always great to keep adventuring outside even on the colder days, as the children learn so much, from the touch, feel and colour of the weather around them. We have just finished our theme of weather and colour and the children have created some lovely work which we have sent home, we hope you have enjoyed seeing it and hopefully heard all about it.

We are looking forward to our next theme now of ‘Myself and Shapes’ where the children will learn everything from their health and wellbeing to body parts, to all the different shapes and how they can be seen and used in everyday life.

We hope you all have a wonderful month ahead – and as always if you have anything at all you want to discuss with us just ask any team member or contact Ian on or call 01625 859867.
