As we wave goodbye to June we feel like it has whizzed by in a blink!
We continued our theme for a few more weeks into the start of June focusing on Transport and Road Safety, as well as numbers. We have had some great feedback on children implementing what they’ve learnt on road safety whilst out and about. As well as one parent saying their child had counted higher than ever before after number-fun with their key worker – such great news!
We always love to hear about how nursery life is helping or encouraging activities or learnings in life away from First Steps – so please do keep the updates coming.
We have now moved onto starting our theme of Holidays and Cultures. We have begun exploring everything from going on holiday, travelling and climates, to animals in different countries and the diverse ways of life for families across the globe.
In June we also waved goodbye to lots of growing sunflowers. We would love for you to share with us how the seedlings are getting on and how tall they eventually grow. All the team have really enjoyed getting green-fingered with the children and teaching them about seeds and gardening.
We can’t quite believe another month has gone by but if July is like June, it will be full of fun, laughter and learning.
