As we welcome in March and experience hopefully warmer, brighter and more spring-like days, we have lots of things planned to make the month whizz by.

The 1st March sees Britain commemorate St David’s Day, the team have lots of crafts and activities planned to celebrate this special day.

Also, on Thursday 1st March it is World Book Day. We know that this day is celebrated heavily in primary schools across the nation, but please do not feel pressured to find a fancy-dress costume to spend the day with us. We will be enjoying the day with lots of stories and reading. We would love for your child to bring in and share their favourite story with us that day, so please pack one in their bags.

We don’t want to ruin any surprises, but as usual, the children will be working on some items to take home to celebrate a certain day on the 11th.

Then towards the end of the month, the nation will be celebrating Sport Relief – and First Steps is getting sporty too. We plan to have sport-based activities arranged across the week commencing Monday 19th so, please bring or pack your child some trainers for that week.
