We work in partnership with families to help each child reach their full potential.
We provide loving care and wide educational experiences for children from 3 months to 4+ years.
We have carefully put together our own First Step’s family, ensuring we have a committed team with recognised qualifications and up to date knowledge.
We have a number of outdoor areas available for our children to use all year round.
Our superb close-knit caring team, coupled with our on-going investment in facilities, equipment, and the latest teaching techniques has made us the preferred day nursery for local families for over 20 years.

Babies
3 months-14 months
Our baby room is a stimulating, bright and welcoming space designed to meet the specific needs of our young babies.
Tweenies
14 months – 2 years, 3 months
The Tweenie room is a dynamic space targeted to support the children’s growth of independence, curiosity and creativity.
Early Years
2 years, 3 months – 3 years, 3 months
In Early Years your child will be encouraged to start making more independent decisions, with a variety of free choice activities to choose from.
Pre School
3 years, 3 months – 5 years
In Pre-School your child is encouraged to learn and develop in a fun environment, giving a structured routine and opportunity for free play.
Sensory
All ages
In addition to the children’s base rooms we also have a fun and stimulating sensory room for the children to enjoy.
Outdoors
At First Steps we have an abundance of outdoor space including 3 gardens, each filled with resources targeted at different ages.

Healthy Eating at First Steps
We encourage healthy eating and our menus, which rotate on a four-weekly cycle, ensure that all our children have a balanced and varied diet.
